Since the whole process of deconfinement started it’s been difficult to drive around my town and see all the restaurants and coffee shops closed…especially burger places (restaurants). So, here I am… I made these perfect 20 minute homemade hamburger buns, at least until restaurants open!
Oh, yeah. They only take 20 minutes to make?! How crazy is that?! Okay, maybe I was in a pinch and did them in 20 minutes, but in reality it may take you 21 minutes. Who knows.
The inside and filling Recipes
First the burger! I love veggie burgers, and particularly these beet burgers are my favorite! I have yet to make homemade beet burgers, but as soon as I do you will be the first to know!
Second, we have the sauce. Now there are a million different ways to do the sauce, but here are my favorites:
Garlic Aioli
In a small bowl, mix together the following ingredients, and adjust measures to your liking.
- 3/4 cup of Mayo
- A squeeze of Lemon Juice
- 3 cloves of Garlic (more or less depending on if you love garlic or not)
- Dash of Salt
- Dash of Ground Black Pepper
Pesto
In a blender, mix together the following ingredients and adjust to measures to your liking. You’ll have an amazing pesto that you can put on your burgers, pasta, and other favorite meals!
- Basil Leaves
- 2-3 Garlic Cloves
- Parmesan Cheese
- Olive Oil
- Squeeze of Lemon
- Dash of Salt
- Dash of Ground Black Pepper
Mayo & Ketchup
Ah, this is just a reminder that you can just do mayo and/or ketchup.
Blue Cheese
Are you a blue cheese fan like me? Adding and melting blue cheese on top of your burger makes a delicious meal.
