I’m not a peanut butter person… unless it’s MY homemade peanut butter cups. I love making homemade food because I know what is in my food.
I also wanted to make these this week for a halloween themed treat! It sure was a delicious treat! 🙂
This recipe brings me so much happiness just thinking about it. It only took about 20 minutes to make and only has two ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Peanut Butter
- 1-2 cups of Chocolate Chips (I like to use Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips)
***Notes: This recipe is kinda more you choose how much you like, so if you like a lot of peanut butter then add more peanut butter, but if you aren’t a big fan of peanut butter add more chocolate. It also depends on how thick you like/want your peanut butter cups.
Steps:
- Place cupcake liners in a muffin pan and set aside.
- Use the double boiler method. In a large pot fill with water and place on stove. Then place a heat safe bowl in the water. (Hopefully it’s floating.)
- When the water is boiling dump your chocolate into the the heat safe bowl and stir your chocolate. (Don’t let your chocolate burn!)
- In each cupcake liner fill with chocolate to your liking (this is your first layer) and smooth the chocolate evenly with a spoon.
- Place in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Take the muffin pan with the chocolate out of the freezer.
- Fill the cupcake liners with peanut butter, to your liking.
- Place back in the freezer for a few minutes.
- While the cupcake pan is in the freezer melt more chocolate in the double boiler.
- Grab the cupcake pan out of the freezer and fill with chocolate until you can’t see the peanut butter anymore.
- Place the cupcake pan back in the freezer and let the chocolate harden.
- For a more professional look you can cut the cupcake liners to the point where you have filled them. Enjoy!
